Amani children’s Choir (amanichoir.org ) is a ministry of Light Africa Ministries (lightafrica.org and Kampala Community Church (kampalacommunitychurch.org ) based in Uganda - Light Africa is also a USA Non-Profit with TAX ID # 45-4815027.

What is the purpose of Amani Children's Choir
Our tours and local ministry have 4 major goals:a) Share the love of God through music, dance and testimonies of what God has done in our lives. We always encourage Churches and all venues to welcome people that need to be saved or encouraged in their walk with Christ Jesus in our concerts/worship concerts.
b) The Choir raises awareness of the need of destitute and orphaned children in Africa.
c) Raise funds for continued development and support of Light Africa programs in Uganda (Please visit lightafrica.org or kampalacommunitychurch.org for more info).
d) The Choir’s international tours provide unique training and exposure for the children. Once Choir members have completed a concert tour and all the other children, they will return to their homelands with the tools necessary for bettering their future and also serve as godly servant leaders in Africa - making other people's lives better.
Amani in Concert and offstage?
We labor to give our audiences an experience with the Living God - a memorable and lifetime spiritual experience that draws them closer to God as we praise and worship God in the African way with our smiles and joyful African tunes, accompanied by local instrumentation. The program features children’s songs, hand clapping, traditional spirituals and contemporary tunes. We believe that praise and worship in not based on your circumstances but is from the heart - In spite of the tragedy that has marred their young lives, the children are radiant with hope, musically gifted, wonderfully entertaining and inspiring everyone their concerts to praise and worship God.Where have they performed?
Over the past years, the children have appeared in hundreds of concerts around the world, including concerts in many Churches in Uganda and USA, Washington DC for the Global leadership Coalition, In Dallas Texas for Samaritans Purse and Operation Christmas Child Connect Conference, Sea World in San Diego, San Diego zoo...and schools in USA.
The Impact of our previous tours
- Thousands have experienced the love of God through the choir ministry over the years.
- 300 children were opportunity to go to school and to belong to a family that loves them.
- Clean water has been provided to communities in Uganda that never had water.
- 8 Classrooms for Light Africa schools where built and furnished from funds raised through our last tour.
- Computer and Science laboratories were built for our schools which improved the performance our children.
- Girls Dormitory housing 120 girls currently that needed a place to be safe.
